How Money Is Made On The Internet

In order to make serious money on the Internet, you have to do 1 of 2 things. You either sell (re-sell) a product that somebody else has already developed, or you develop your own product.

To start out, most people don't have the time, experience, or venture capital to develop their own product. So the alternative is to sell what others have already made or have.

Next, you can sell either a physical product, like vitamins, or you can sell informational products.

Let's pick a big company that everybody knows, like “Amway”. They have spent the time and money to develop their own products. Then, they use people like you and me to go from door to door selling their products for them. “Amway” then gives their distributors a certain percentage of each sale. This is how their distributors make money.

So, the more “Amway” products you sell, the more money you make.

But, you're only one person, and you can only do so much.

So how do you solve that problem?

You go out and recruit people to sell for you!

Go out and get 5 people to sell products for you. Now, you've multiplied your efforts 5 times! And, you can now make 5 times the amount of money as opposed to working by yourself.

Isn't that a simply brilliant concept?

And that is the basic principle of all successful businesses. How many pieces of software do you think Microsoft could sell if Bill Gates was the only employee?

He used this same principle and now has thousands of employees, thus multiplying his efforts a thousand or more times over!

But, let's get back to the selling part. If you would open a traditional physical store on Main Street, USA, you would have to sell something in order to stay in business.

You can sell services. For instance, you could have a plumbing shop and sell your services to go out and do plumbing jobs for other people. You could also sell plumbing supplies, like pipe and copper fittings.

Suppose you only sold 1 type of copper pipe. Unless the demand for this one type of pipe was just exceptional, you wouldn't be in business very long. So, to pick up the slack when pipe wasn't selling very well, you fill your plumbing supply store with a wide variety of plumbing supplies. This is inventory that you now have to purchase and keep on the shelf until a customer walks in and buys it.

You must also own or rent a store where you can keep all of your supplies and present them to your prospective customers. Then there's the utility bills to pay, plus upkeep on the building, rent or a mortgage to pay, and you have to constantly spend money on advertisements for your business.

If you want to merely sell your services as a plumber, you will have to spend several years as an apprentice learning your trade before you could ever expect to go out on your own. Then it will take more years of your time to build up a reputation and an established client base. Plus, you've got to spend a lot of money for tools and a truck, in addition to more advertising costs.

Either way, owning a plumbing supply shop or simply selling your services as a plumber, you have other responsibilities to consider. You are now in charge of collecting money for your services. You will have to work extremely long hours until you can afford to hire employees. But then, you are going to have to handle a lot more book work, make sure the employees get paid, deal with employees taking off work at exactly the wrong times for you, and a thousand other problems.

And what about customer complaints on top of all of this?

So, if you're really not into all the hassles a physical business presents, and you still want to run your own business....

  1. You never had to buy or carry any inventory.
  2. You were never responsible for collecting money.
  3. Your only expenses were a computer, ISP fees, and a small amount of money for advertising.
  4. You never had to try and sell anything on the phone. (How many people here just love to get calls from tele-marketers....raise your hand now if you do...)
  5. You didn't have to spend years of your time learning the business.
  6. You didn't have to spend a lot of money to get started.
  7. You didn't have to spend 18 hours a day working at it.

Does that sound like a pretty good deal so far?

Well, guess what? It is all possible! And, not only is it possible, there are a lot of people who are running a successful home based business from the privacy of their own homes right now!

These people have come from all walks of life. Many of them had almost no experience with computers or running a business before, but are now making a six figure income or better every single year.

In fact, when we got our first computer I was so illiterate, I had to get my wife to log onto the Internet for me. I didn't have a clue as to how to even do that simple function.

But back to our story. Some of these people have developed their own products, but a large number of these home entrepreneurs are re-selling an already established product or are doing a combination of both.

What just about every one of these individuals DO HAVE IN COMMON is: They sell or re-sell electronic informational products!

Now why do you suppose that's so?

It's simply because electronic products, like information, can be so easily stored on a hard drive and then easily accessed without a human being to be there to attend the whole process.

Let's say I'm a plumber. I'm sick and tired of going out all hours of the day and night un-clogging toilets. I've got a better idea. Why not write an electronic book on how people can un-clog their own toilets without having to call an expensive plumber. And now-a-days, a visit from your plumber costs more than a visit to your doctor's office.

So, I've got a great idea that will save people a lot of money. I write my E-book, store it on a hard drive, then sell it to you. You're happy to get it at a small cost opposed to having a plumber come out at a very large cost.

And, all you have to do is click your mouse and the E-book magically appears as a download on your personal computer.

I didn't have to be there and the E-book is still on my hard drive, just waiting for a thousand other people to do the same thing as you just did. Click and receive!

I went fishing while you were buying my product!

But, I'm only 1 person and I can only advertise my product so much.

So what do I do?

The obvious answer is to recruit 5 people who will also sell my “How To Un-Clog Toilets In 3 Easy Steps” E-book!

Then, I simply pay them a percentage of the sales for each E-book they sell for me.

What have I done?

I've multiplied my efforts 5 times over!

And now I can make 5 times the income with the same amount of effort!

That 1 E-book I originally made is still there on that hard drive. I haven't had to do anything to it. The people re-selling my informational material only have to promote the URL where the download is, and I have more time to go fishing.

But, if these people want to make even more money, what do they do?

They go out and get 5 people under them. Then they teach those people how to promote and sell “How To Un-Clog Toilets In 3 Easy Steps.”

If each of my original 5 people get 5 people under them, then I now have 25 people selling my E-book for me. If those 5 people go out and get 5 more under each of them, I now have 125 people selling my E-book!

My efforts are multiplied 125 times!!!

That, my friend, is how fortunes are being made every single day on the Internet!


The real secret to creating wealth and a residual income is in recruiting other people to sell your product for you!
