Plan Ahead
Before I pursue any venture, I calculate the risk first,
balancing my faith with reason. There are several questions I ask myself before I leap ahead. First I ask, 'Is this what I want to do? Is this journey that I'm about to embark on going to take me where I want to go?' The journey can be a relationship, career, or financial decision, but the same question applies.I consider that I am trading my life for the decision. I have only this time, these moments, the right now, so is this really what I want to be doing with it? My second question is, 'Will it be a good trade?' Every night before I go to bed, I assess whether it was or not. I gave my life today for this-whatever I spent my time doing. Was it worth spending my day on?
That's why I don't hang out with people I don't like. I just don't allow anybody into my life whom I don't want to be with. I don't care if they're rich or poor-if it's not worthwhile to spend time with someone, then I don't spend time with them. Do I want to waste my breaths on them? And as a result, I have wonderful, kind, nice people around me all the time. I've got the best friends anybody could ask for in the whole world.
Because I expect people to be like that. And as a result, it's very easy for me to really enjoy myself, to enjoy every moment around my friends. If you plan ahead, you won't get stuck in a place where you don't want to be.By: JohnAssaraf
